You don't choose Dr. Suicide. He choses you!

The people at Blogger believes that the brilliant mind of Dr. Suicide can/should/will be kept down.

Of course they are wrong. (The longer period of absence which followed the massive start was, of course, willingly chosen by The Big Guy Upstairs [Dr. Suicide])

With the eldest of tricks, the most classic of methods, they try, as every revelatory, current-changing, ingenious, prophet has experienced, to muffle his words. The try to hold the Doctor down with censorship. Every truth-speaking, provocative man has had to deal with this.

But of course it shall not be so. The Doctor will not abandon you. The Doctor will not let you down, though sought held down.

YOU CANNOT CENSOR THIS!

So remember, people of Blogger, that you do not choose Dr. Suicide. He chooses you.

Dr. Suicide offers the cure

In this world of narcissistic values where the promotion of ones own image, persona or even brand some would say, some people can probably get tired from this charade. Luckily for all Dr. Suicide has been set into this world. He has the answer. He has the medicine. The cure. With one action you will no longer have to bring attention to yourself. A simple incision.

The Doctor invites you to:

"Cut here"

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF SUICIDE

Dr. Suicide is happy to inform you, that he has taken over this puny little project called "Suburban Supernova". He has taken over full control {via his omniscience}.
More - imperialistic - events will occur in the future.

Flying solo!

For the first time ever I'm will be going on vacation all by myself. For the first time ever I'm going to the States. For the first time ever I'm going to NYC. For the first time ever I'm gonna couch surf.

This will all happen tomorrow, my plane departing at 8:15 in the morning, meaning I have to get up really, really early to be at the airport around 6:30. But getting up early will not be the hard part, going to sleep will, because I'm getting psyched.

Brooklyn Flea Market, Central Park, MoMA, Met, Times Square, Harlem, Brooklyn, Williamsburg, Manhattan, etc., etc. I'm there (soon), so for the time being, bye bye Suburbia!

When the hipster awakens... Beware!

The last day at Trailerpark can be divided in to three parts. Toro Y Moi, Caribou and Trailerpark Allstars.

Around 9 o'clock I was starting to get psyched for the Toro Y Moi concert as I was hoping that the crowd would have built up momentum for a final big bang. When it was 21:15 and the band still hadn't arrived on stage I was beginning to get skeptical. At 21:50 the concert was over and the band had only played for 35 minutes. And the hadn't done a very good job at all. The didn't even play their biggest hit Leave Everywhere, they didn't even sacrifice the least bit of energy to the crowd and therefore the crowd gave nothing back and I feared that we were back at day one with the ambiance. And then I was ready to Leave Everywhere.

Lead singer of Toro Y Moi: Chazwick Bundick

But, I didn't instead I stayed and got my mind blown away by Caribou. This was an amazing concert and Caribou gave the hipsters the wake-up call that they needed. They gave their all with their drumming letting out a massive surge of energy through his pounding of drums, one of the most charismatic and skillful drummers that I have seen live to this day. And although the drummer was extraordinary, the thing which surprised me the most was the multi-talented lead singer, playing keyboard one minute, drums and guitar the next. Especially when he played the drums giving the band a drum duo hitting on each others drums I was awestruck.

Caribou

And so were the hipsters, ready to bruk out on this final evening of Trailerparking, so when the host revealed that they had Trentemöller playing a dj-set with the Trailerpark Allstars (Trentemöller was not listed on the program) a rush went through the audience. Trentemöller is unique in his way of having a major mainstream breakthrough and still being loved and worshiped by the Indiesphere. Therefore the expectations were enormous, but he did not let us down. Instead he managed to mix it up with Djuna Barnes and Fagget Fairies in a way that had the party going crazy. It was not rise and fall or up and down. It was on hyperactive, monstrous climb ridden so fast and heavily that supreme happiness was inevitable.

So the total picture of Trailerpark ended up being a good one. I was annoyed at hipsters at times, and the fact that the Trailerpark administration rated all the concerts themselves in a totally uncritical manner was rather unprofessional. But all in all Trailerpark had its moments which was enough to make it a hell of a good weekend.

Hipsters loosening up

@ Trailerpark day 2 things had been changing. To the sound of the so fantastically barefooted Raz Ohara's music and his weird looks the hipsters and artsy-fartsies of the festival were giving it up. It seems like the hipster crowd is loosing some of its vanity and fear of looking silly, which really reflects on the mood/ambiance/vibe of the whole thing. TPF is improving. This will hopefully mean, that this Sunday will develop into a climax of happiness/craziness, because today the music is peaking with the tunes of Toro y Moi and Caribou, and if the ambiance is only rising from day to day, this evening could actually be truly great.
