Trailerpark Festival: Too trendy to fuck.

Last night I was @ Trailerpark Festival. I was only present mentally during one concert: The Kissaway Trail. Danish indie-rockers. They pulled off an excellent performance, which I watched from the front of the stage. Yet I was amazed when I looked backwards, past the first 20 people to see a bunch of trendy, artsy fartsy people too fed up with their good looks and sense of style to do anything, but stare lovelessly at the stage with no passion. The line-up this year is amazing @ Trailerpark. The crowd is, for the most part, too trendy to fuck. I sincerely hope that the crowd will have lightened up for tonight and are bringing some joy.

BLOG ME I'M FAMOUS!

This t-shirt:
Is some kind of brand-merchandise for French pop/dance floor/rmx-DJ David Guetta's clubbing project. It consists of him and some dame I've never heard (don't know if that's because of my ignorance or her lack of "star quality"). I guess they are like high class party organizers, because what they do is create clubbing events, but for A-lists only. Part of the FMIF-brand also makes rmx & clubbing music on these compilations called "Fuck Me I'm Famous": 1,2,3,4,5... n.

Well this Guetta dude and his FMIF-brand has gotten a lot of attention in Denmark over the past year, because of some rather huge pop-successes in form of collaborations with Akon &Kelly Rowland. I for one think it's quite shitty, but never mind me. All this attention drawn to Mr. Guetta has made a lot of people round DK wear the FMIF-shirt.

This t-shirt is what I wanted to comment. How it lacks contact with our modern world! Nobody cares about the "F***ing" it's all about attention these days. In addition it is a very narrow crowd who are bold enough to have a statement that offensive and provocative posted on their chest. I believe that if Mr. Guetta really wanted to boost his late media rush, he should embrace the most powerful people in the music business these days: The Bloggers. That way he could rise from a common pop-DJ to an alt-creative-innovative musician. The way to do this is simple. Change the brand. Change the t-shirt.

... for the slightly more sophisticated you

Being a biiiig fan of the classic Chuck Taylor Converse All Star Black/White Hi-Top, I was delighted when another brand which I also admire, Comme des Garcons, announced a collaboration with Converse, making a super cool version of the classic shoe. So like Schweppes claims to be ... for the slightly more sophisticated you... I believe that this collaboration is just that, a fantastic shoe, just a bit refined to fit the slightly more sophisticated you...

Why Acne Studios is a lame brand

My friend Jacob has bought approximately 3 Acne chinos during the last 3 years. All of which are now broken, and Jacob is not the type of guy who gets insanely psychedlic on the dance floor or starts jumping around furniture every time he gets a drop of alcohol. My point being that the they shouldn't have broken. At least not all three of them.

This is my wallet, when open . I don't have enough money for my wallet to break on the inside.

Acne Studios is to pricy a brand for all of their stuff break. That is the reason that Acne Studios actually is quite a lame brand.

Why Acne Studios is a cool brand

I like Acne Studios. I think they make som cool designs and I feel that they are a good, relevant exponent of the Scandinavian style. As long as you are not on the lookout for avant-garde-ish high fashion Acne Studios actually have quite a wide selection, and can pretty much give you what you are looking for. If you are looking for a stylish, fashionable with a little twist of attitude you go for the Acne Jeans main line or the "pre"-collection and you can actually find a lot of complete outfits.

For the preppy-hearted youngster/hipster/high scool/college - cool kid Acne Studios has created a more golf clubbish, Hamptons-ish, English 30ies, Oxford-ish collection with the Pop Classics line.

I find that Acne Studios make a lot of wearable, fashionable designs and I've never been unsatisfied with the look of the Acne items I've bought.

My Acne Jeans wallet, which I think is very cool

Furthermore Acne Studios is one of the brands which most frequently throws sample sale (like earlier this week)

These are some of the many reasons that Acne Studios is a cool brand

A sunday of recreation

Earlier today I finished my first mix tape, and thereby recreating old tradition. Moments ago I repaired a messenger bag I designed a few months ago, thereby recreating old accesories. The theme of this lovely sunday surely has been recreation.
This is the aforementioned messenger bag, perfectly fitted for my needs

One word to rule them all

The solution to an altbro's problems if he has discovered some music which he fears is too mainstream lies in one word. The one word that justifies all music. One word to rule them all.

Indie.Renowned indie recordlabel, if the new found band is produced by barsuk the bro will have no guilty conscience troulbing his alternativity

It works like this alt-bro discovers new music. Alt-bro doubts the integrity and relevance of this music. It has yet to reach the full status of mainstream. Alt-bro wants to keep his image as an alt-bro. As alt-bro shows of with his new discovery he puts the word indie in front of it, regardless of the other genres (ex. Indie-metal, indie-pop-rock, indie-electro, indie-hip-hop).

This ensures that he stays in top of everything and maintains his status in the group as someone worth listening to when the conversation revolves around music. This is a neat trick. Us it if you doubt your new findings in the world of music. It works.

P.S. It also helps if you found it on some fancy blog.

The road to great skill

I make stuff. Mostly I edit stuff. But I do make stuff too. Therefore my kid sister has challenged my skills, which most definetely have to be honed. This I expect to be achieved by the old saying: "practice makes perfect". I do not expect to end up "practicing" enough to end up with perfection, yet I feel that if I can pull off the design that Sister has asked me to copy-cat, it would be an accomplishment and a step on the road to perfection.

This is the trial before me:
