The Dakota Collab

These are the words

Nouns, verbs, adjectives.

Love. Hate. A Set of Wings. The End. The Beginning. Explosion. Eternity. A Dream. Night. Day.

Swims. Runs. Discusses. Talks. Emphasizes. Seizes. Flutters. Listens. Endures. Gives up.

Wonderful. Good. Bad. True. Untrue. Distasteful. Acceptable. Dirty. Clean. Horrible.

This part of the creative process of creating a little piece of music with DDAAKKOOTTAA. This part of the creation took place in the beginning of May. We have not come much further since then, but each step taken brings us closer to the final product.

A picture of a picture of a girl taking a picture

As I am neither a skillful photographer nor editor, my method of getting a special look for my pictures is taking them with an analog camera. It is an old school look when taking the pictures and a "vintage-y" look when they are produced. This pictures is part of my Madrid-collage taken with an old Konica EE-Matic

A sunday of recreation

Earlier today I finished my first mix tape, and thereby recreating old tradition. Moments ago I repaired a messenger bag I designed a few months ago, thereby recreating old accesories. The theme of this lovely sunday surely has been recreation.
This is the aforementioned messenger bag, perfectly fitted for my needs

Mix Taping

The technical disabilities of my parents car have driven me into a world of nostalgia. The world of the cassette tape. The original idea was as simple as recording "Den Sorte Skole" 1 & 2 on two different mixtapes. Due to new technical issues that couldn't happen. Instead I have been forced to re-create the art of the mix tape in its original form. Pulling out the old ghettoblaster labelled CD/RADIO/CASSETTECORDER I re-discovered the old school wonder of the "rec"-button. So now from all the CD's on the shelf I have compiled a mix tape as it used to be!

All that remains for the total re-invention of the digitalized art form is the art work, art work that will hopefully be in the spirit of the tape (photographic update will follow).

Note to mix tapers around the world: The sound quality really has improved since the days of the walk man, but the scratchy, hollow sound is part of the charm.

Pink tea

Hibi-tea

Almost a day off. Yet still I shall produce.
But I sit, drinking pink tea.
How did that come to be?

Try to set fire to the keyboard the only way I know
by Looking at my fingers, the blue sky and the snow
Borrowed from Regnsky.dk

Listening to the music of a rain cloud on a sunny day
Come today, come what may, come this way

I look for inspiration in what is all around
but My inspiration should not be wasted on words
That are dictated by the government and the danish crown

Tina & Bertel; disciples of the devil, putting shakles on youthful danish minds

Riding the rails

A way of living

I wanna be train hopping

I wanna feel the rails under me rocking

I wanna look out at the open

Experience the wilds before they are forever broken

Hoping that when at the end

I will never have passed down what life would send

The road to great skill

I make stuff. Mostly I edit stuff. But I do make stuff too. Therefore my kid sister has challenged my skills, which most definetely have to be honed. This I expect to be achieved by the old saying: "practice makes perfect". I do not expect to end up "practicing" enough to end up with perfection, yet I feel that if I can pull off the design that Sister has asked me to copy-cat, it would be an accomplishment and a step on the road to perfection.

This is the trial before me:

The "Blogosphere"

Blogosphere is a funny word. The fact that it exists is a notion, that probably too many blogs which you could really live without, are out there. Too many people with too few valuable contributions to the WWW makes me think that this abbrevation really means WorldWideWeeds. So it was with great hesitation that this blog was created. It is not to be seen as a call for attention. I do not write because I believe that the lives of others will be enriched by what is spilled out of my mind through my fingers. At first I didn't want to blog until I was 100% sure that what I wanted to say, was worth saying.

Then I was encouraged to blog to show, that I was able to create something. That I was not just another one of those lazy students. I was told that was how colleges percieved blogging. I believe this to be a paradox, because blogging to me, is really just, for most people, a way of saying: >>Hey I'm "alt", listen to what makes me so special<<. To colleges bloggers should really just be people who hasn't got anything particular interesting or fun to do, therefore choosing to stream their empty words on the internet in lack of any better activity.

But apparently colleges do not think that way. And anyway this blog-thingy seems to be an effective way of refining my english. So, this is me saying: >>Hey I'm "alt", listen to what makes me so special<<.

The Blogoshpere - The little dot, currently not connected to the blogosphere, is "The Suburban Supernova"

The Suburban Supernova

A supernova is when a star explodes, causing the entire galaxy in which the star is(was?) located to be illuminated by the explosion.

This is a picture of the Kepler supernova taken from National Geographics website.

By choosing this metaphor for my blog I'm not trying to say that I'm a star. And obviously I'm not going to explode.

The reason for this metaphor is the fact that I aim to rise from the soil of suburbanism. This will most likely not illuminate the galaxy. Still i thought it was a fitting metaphor, because this blog or rather what triggered this blog is most likely going to explode my current way of life and to me this will hopefully be rather enlightening.
