BLOG ME I'M FAMOUS!

This t-shirt:
Is some kind of brand-merchandise for French pop/dance floor/rmx-DJ David Guetta's clubbing project. It consists of him and some dame I've never heard (don't know if that's because of my ignorance or her lack of "star quality"). I guess they are like high class party organizers, because what they do is create clubbing events, but for A-lists only. Part of the FMIF-brand also makes rmx & clubbing music on these compilations called "Fuck Me I'm Famous": 1,2,3,4,5... n.

Well this Guetta dude and his FMIF-brand has gotten a lot of attention in Denmark over the past year, because of some rather huge pop-successes in form of collaborations with Akon &Kelly Rowland. I for one think it's quite shitty, but never mind me. All this attention drawn to Mr. Guetta has made a lot of people round DK wear the FMIF-shirt.

This t-shirt is what I wanted to comment. How it lacks contact with our modern world! Nobody cares about the "F***ing" it's all about attention these days. In addition it is a very narrow crowd who are bold enough to have a statement that offensive and provocative posted on their chest. I believe that if Mr. Guetta really wanted to boost his late media rush, he should embrace the most powerful people in the music business these days: The Bloggers. That way he could rise from a common pop-DJ to an alt-creative-innovative musician. The way to do this is simple. Change the brand. Change the t-shirt.

... for the slightly more sophisticated you

Being a biiiig fan of the classic Chuck Taylor Converse All Star Black/White Hi-Top, I was delighted when another brand which I also admire, Comme des Garcons, announced a collaboration with Converse, making a super cool version of the classic shoe. So like Schweppes claims to be ... for the slightly more sophisticated you... I believe that this collaboration is just that, a fantastic shoe, just a bit refined to fit the slightly more sophisticated you...

Why Acne Studios is a lame brand

My friend Jacob has bought approximately 3 Acne chinos during the last 3 years. All of which are now broken, and Jacob is not the type of guy who gets insanely psychedlic on the dance floor or starts jumping around furniture every time he gets a drop of alcohol. My point being that the they shouldn't have broken. At least not all three of them.

This is my wallet, when open . I don't have enough money for my wallet to break on the inside.

Acne Studios is to pricy a brand for all of their stuff break. That is the reason that Acne Studios actually is quite a lame brand.

Why Acne Studios is a cool brand

I like Acne Studios. I think they make som cool designs and I feel that they are a good, relevant exponent of the Scandinavian style. As long as you are not on the lookout for avant-garde-ish high fashion Acne Studios actually have quite a wide selection, and can pretty much give you what you are looking for. If you are looking for a stylish, fashionable with a little twist of attitude you go for the Acne Jeans main line or the "pre"-collection and you can actually find a lot of complete outfits.

For the preppy-hearted youngster/hipster/high scool/college - cool kid Acne Studios has created a more golf clubbish, Hamptons-ish, English 30ies, Oxford-ish collection with the Pop Classics line.

I find that Acne Studios make a lot of wearable, fashionable designs and I've never been unsatisfied with the look of the Acne items I've bought.

My Acne Jeans wallet, which I think is very cool

Furthermore Acne Studios is one of the brands which most frequently throws sample sale (like earlier this week)

These are some of the many reasons that Acne Studios is a cool brand

Die blue! Dye black?

I had this t-shirt which was blue:

But this particular blue color really wasn't doing it for me. Liking the style of the t-shirt though, I didn't want to throw it out. So for a while it just hang in my closet unused. Fortunately I found a bunch of black textile dye. Black always being the new black, this turn of events was joyful. So I dyed the t-shirt black... well, at least I thought I did. This is how it came out:

Not black. That is for sure. Because the thread used for sowing the shirt is synthetic the dye didn't change the original cobolt blue of it at all. The shirt's fabric did change though, not into black though, but into something I believe to be some sort of navy blue. Which I actually like so everything turned out OK anyway.

I guess the soul of the shirt is blue. If not cobolt, then navy.
