Festival

And so another event has also passed, during my recent lack of blog-activity, Roskilde Festival, the undisputed, single-most fantastic week of the year. The constant happiness that follows with your every move, because there are no wrong moves, because you know, that every move will lead to some great situation, regardless of which. The constant cheerful state of mind at which I find myself during this week is nowhere else to be found. I believe to have been through a week of never ending intoxication. Not just by the little green plant or by the little green can. But more than anything else by the vibe, the ambience, the adrenalin rush that you get the very second you see the camping area before you. Though might not wish to be drunk or affected, you will undoubtedly be in an undefinable haze. The orange haze. The orange feeling. For it is a fellowship, it is unity. It is Nirvana. I will forever and always look forward to the next time I step through to the gates of heaven once again.

Companionship

Over the past three years I have had what can easily be referred to as a companionship with my school. A companionship with both mental and physical ties. Ties of friendship, education, determination, laziness, recreation and all that follows with the conditions of a community with such strong bonds as VG. This partially ended with graduation, and terminally ends with the last celebrations still left to be crossed out in my calendar. The physical ties that binds me to my old home-away-from-home, has been loosened over the last couple of weeks and will be undone completely, as the final party next week is over. Those are my thoughts of the end of this companionship. Its physical remnants are disappearing, but I count on the mental ballast will submerge into my inner and will, subconsciously, influent my every decision. Confident that I have grown, through the past years, defined and redefined myself, I thank the people who have sculpted my being into its current form.

The ticket is in!

Few days ago, my ticket for the Roskilde Festival came in with the mail making the anticipation immense and unbearable. But it also made clear that those days of ultimate joy and satisfaction unleashed by the music, the crowd, the ambience etc. are not very far away.
41 days, 21 hours, 24 min, 35 seconds
and counting...
It does not get any better than this...

The Dakota Collab

These are the words

Nouns, verbs, adjectives.

Love. Hate. A Set of Wings. The End. The Beginning. Explosion. Eternity. A Dream. Night. Day.

Swims. Runs. Discusses. Talks. Emphasizes. Seizes. Flutters. Listens. Endures. Gives up.

Wonderful. Good. Bad. True. Untrue. Distasteful. Acceptable. Dirty. Clean. Horrible.

This part of the creative process of creating a little piece of music with DDAAKKOOTTAA. This part of the creation took place in the beginning of May. We have not come much further since then, but each step taken brings us closer to the final product.

Getting in the right mood

It is getting closer. One of the decisive weeks of the year. One of the weeks that define your memories of every summer. It is a week of constant joy and great ambience. Smiles, great moods, and hopefully sunny weather. A week unlike any other. The week of Roskilde Festival. And though it seems that the promise of all that should be enough for you to die of the joy of such anticipation I try to build an even higher piedestal for the festival. I want to get in to that mood where the music of artists playing at the festival are constantly in the back of your mind, constantly buzzing, reminding you, that soon, you will be in heaven. Therefore I have created a hypem-account dedicated 100% to artists playing @ Roskilde. So now the getting ready, is going on at hypem:

The Val Thorens Depression

Disease definition:
This disease is also known as The Roskilde Depression. It follows bigger events in which you have participated for app. a weak or so. To get this disease following things will have occured durring this event:

1. Plenty of your closest friends must also have participated.
2. The event was fantastic and exceeded your expectations.
3. The event must be over.
3. You have arrived at home and you are now alone, without any of your friends, which have also participated in the event.
4. You have been home for long enough time to realize, that 30 of these friends will not appear on your doorstep.

Having recently returned from the beautiful Alps of France, more specifically Val Thorens, the fear that this disease will hit me within few hours has crawled up my spine. Therefore I have compiled a list of possible cures for this disease:

1. Sleep. When you sleep you do not feel the depression and you will end up being awakened by a call from a friend.
2. Make as many chill-appointments as possible with as many as your friends as possible. Eventually the event will be far so away that the risk of catching the disease will be non-existing.
3. The list ends here. The disease will strike most people and is very hard to avoid.
